From the Author
I have three boys and in our household. And there’s a lot of rough housing, but there's a lot of love, too.
I think it starts with parents and teachers. We have an obligation to teach them that kindness can be a beautiful thing if you share it with everyone. It can be simple and spontaneous like smiling at others, using someone's name when you're greeting them, or holding the door for someone.
A little kindness goes a long way in someone's day. The great thing about kindness is that it's contagious. If someone witnesses a kind act, research says it's more likely that the person who witnessed kindness will perform an act of kindness, too.
