The third book in the epic sci-fi book saga Adam X, Adam Nexus, is available now in paperback and on Kindle.
Is there a more exciting new science-fiction series on Earth than Adam X? What about across the universe? Or the known dimensions? We like to think not. Adam X blends history, science, humour, religion and romance with unlimited imagination, creating a world view where time and dimension provide no boundary.
The result is a work of young-adult fiction that will get readers of all ages thinking, wondering, laughing and gasping.
In the original book, 2017’s Adam Exitus, award-winning writers Nicholas Abdilla and Chris Stead, introduced the world to Adam Ten. His adventures continued in 2020’s Adam Exiled. And now, hot on the heels of the first sequel, comes Adam Nexus. We don’t want to say too much about the story and the characters up to this point in case you’re still yet to take off on your Adam X journey, but needless to say, the plot thickens.
In Adam Nexus, the tale begins over 335 years before the story told through the Adam Exitus and Adam Exiled books. But ultimately, it will see characters from across time and space meet in a climax that will not only reshape the way you think about Earth, but the entire universe.

About the authors
Chris Stead, founder of Old Mate Media, began working as a technology, entertainment and science journalist in the mid-1990s, with a focus on video gaming. During the 2000s, he launched and ran several major publications, including Official PlayStation Magazine, GamePro, Gameplayer and Game Informer. It was at the latter he met Nick.
Nicholas Abdilla has been working at the forefront of the pop culture industry for decades, working with consumers at the point of sale. Also an avid gamer, he reached out Chris Stead when he was editor of Game Informer. He was armed with a comic that poked fun at the silly tropes and culture of the gaming world. It was a meme before memes, starring Game Guy. The comic ran in the magazine for years, which picked up multiple awards along the way.
Chris Stead left his post at Game Informer to found Old Mate Media in 2013. He began publishing his own books their friendship continued. Nicholas Abdilla reached out with a desire to convert one of his earliest comics, the incredibly imaginative Adam X, into a young adult science-fiction novel. Excited, Chris Stead got involved first as editor. But as the two collaborated, the books increased dramatically in scope and ambition.
The result is an iconic entry into the science-fiction space. Adam X has a unique voice and delivers a stunning tale that’s richly influenced by pop culture. There are ten entries in the series already mapped out, so there’s plenty more Adam X to come. So, make sure you get it on the ground floor.
